Whether you listen to news or not... you know what is happening. More importantly, your BODY knows what is happening. I see people every day who are living in a state of dis-regulation. Their nervous systems in various states of activation, some of us humans are in shut down... which is a state of activation. All of this is natural, and normal... it is our nervous systems communicating what our body is picking up.
And we are picking stuff up. Oh yeah, many of us absorbing the energy we feel around us. This too is natural, and normal. Being conscious of this phenomenon is an awesome way of keeping yourself regulated. Staying "balanced"... which is a flow, sometimes up and sometimes down. It's nice to get a flow going, and be aware of when you're a little "scratchy" and aware of when you are checking out for a bit.
Nature is a superpower resource... as I write this I am listening to Chill Roots- a playlist of Blues Roots music, and I am sitting outside. Trees, the smell of grass (not so great for those with allergies unfortunately- please look for natural remedies...) just looking at Trees is a powerful resource in keeping me regulated. Even through my window, the sight of a Tree reminds me there is so much more to life than my human concerns. Trees remind me of my Breath, Sacred Breath... and I automatically breathe deeper. And then my body relaxes.
Music, another amazing resource. Using the offerings of artists to create a vibration in my body, a vibration in my home. Music, Art, Sculpture, Stones, Colors... all of this Beauty can be used as resources for staying in balance. In our rush, we often look past these Gifts. We rush by, or rush through... and forget to PAUSE.
Oh!! There it is!! The one resource that can be used ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. The Pause, you might of heard me talk about it, or maybe you heard about it somewhere else. It is gaining popularity for sure. lol. Pause, those few minutes, yup, start with a Breath, exhaling just a little longer... making that out breath an offering to the Trees. Exhaling longer is literally a signal, a message to your vagus nerve... You Are Safe. No need to run, you can Pause here. Take a few moments. Where is your mind??? Often we are somewhere else, solving a problem that is not in front of us. Where are your emotions??? Often these are put away, somewhere in our Body. Take a few moments to put aside the thoughts... and FEEL where you are at. You may find that with practice??? Those problems aren't nearly as urgent as you originally thought... OR you may see solutions that you didn't before!!!
PAUSE~
Yes my friends... Pause. Look at the Beauty around you. Enjoy your Breath. Open your senses to what you feel. Then notice.... what emerges??? More often than not insights appear that you may have never felt, or seen in your rush.
At the very least?? You will be regulating your nervous system, tapping into your body's wisdom and finding more peace.
I am holding a Workshop - Memories, Shadows & Others in June (6 to 8th) and we will be touching more on the influences we feel from others. Others in the past (memories), others that have judged us (shadows), and others that may be actively discouraging us.
I will be teaching shamanic and energetic techniques for releasing these influences, and honoring our own wisdom. Our own innate ability to heal our own Souls.
